Due to the positive response and requests for more presentations, the San Marcos Police Department will host two more of its Church Safety Seminars in July.
The Department held three seminars in May and June addressing safety and other concerns relevant to the faith-based community.
The seminars will be hosted at the SMPD auditorium, 2300 S IH-35 July 12 and 24 from 6:30 – 9 p.m. Admission is free, but participants must register online to reserve their places.
This unique discussion addresses concerns of violence and safety for faith-based communities across the country. The information is practical, relevant and timely, addressing the safety needs of churches and houses of worship.
Pastors, counselors, ushers/greeters, parking lot attendants, hospitality, and church safety personnel are encouraged to attend the course. Seating is limited to 45 people per event.
Online registration for the course is required at www.sanmarcostx.gov/churchsafety.
