Spreading Christmas Cheer

Students and staff from the Gary Job Corps Center have been active for over 16 years in spreading Christmas Cheer throughout the local area.

Aside from ringing bells for the Salvation Army, delivering teddy bears and popcorn to the San Marcos Youth Shelter and Hays Caldwell County Women’s Center, singing Christmas carols at Nursing homes;  Regent Care (San Marcos), Warm Springs Rehabilitation (Luling), and Golden Age Nursing (Lockhart).

Additionally, over 100 students volunteered for Sights and Sounds of Christmas in San Marcos, cooking biscuits in Dutch Ovens for the Main Street Board and Corrections and Security students assisting with traffic and crowd control.
