Spring Concert Moved Tonight Due To Stormy Weather

Spring Concert Moved Tonight Due To Stormy Weather

KSMB Spring Concert Moved to the Marc Due to Weather

The City of San Marcos will host the second Keep San Marcos Beautiful (KSMB) Spring Concert on Thursday, April 16, 2015 at 7 p.m. at the Marc, 120 E San Antonio St., instead of its usual location at San Marcos Plaza Park, due to forecasts of severe weather.

Pre-concert events have been canceled because of the weather forecasts, but several vendors and booths will be set up in the Marc at 7 p.m. There will be a fun recycling quiz before the show begins at 7:30 p.m.

This family-friendly event is free and open to the public. No outside drinks are allowed in the Marc.

This week’s artist is The Tejas Brothers.

The Tejas Brothers: After performing for the first time in Fort Worth in 2006, these brothers quickly became the talk of the hour with their music that has a unique country twist. Since 2006, they have been entertaining audiences and earning the respect of Texas Country musicians. Their debut CD was recognized as the seventh most played album for 2009 by the Americana Music Association. Since then, they have released two more impressive albums that speak the language of Texas Country.

Free on-street parking is available around the Courthouse Square and on city streets within walking distance of the Marc.

The KSMB concert series will continue every Thursday evening through April 30 at San Marcos Plaza Park, weather permitting. Acts for the spring season include:
·         April 23: Curtis Grimes
·         April 30: Bluffett

This event is made possible by support from Texas Commission on the Arts, the San Marcos Convention & Visitors Bureau, Texas Disposal Systems, Grande Communications, Silverleaf Resorts, The Root Cellar, Erbert & Gerbert’s, Hampton Inn & Suites, The Hitch, Carson Properties, and Full Circle Salon.
