Spring Lake Garden Club is open to women and men interested in increasing their knowledge of gardening especially concerning the gardening conditions and opportunities of the local area.
A popular ongoing project by the club is the selection of A Yard of the Month. An article and photos of the selected home site are publicized monthly in the San Marcos Daily Record. Other community projects include support of the San Marcos Food Bank and the San Marcos Heritage Association through participation in the Cottage Kitchen at the Cock House.
