The St. David’s Foundation announced the recipients of phase II of their COVID-19 Recovery Fund.
The non-profit organization has awarded nearly $6.5 million to 116 organizations in Central Texas for its final phase of the recovery fund. Of that amount, $4 million was awarded to 67 organizations that provide support in Hays County.
Among the recipients of Phase II is CommuniCare Health Centers, Court Appoint Advocates of Central Texas, and more. The full list of organizations can be found here.
CASA of Central Texas will use the funding to assist its leadership team to continue to design strategic innovations to ensure seamless delivery of programs and support for abused, neglected, or abandoned children.
CommuniCare Health Centers will use the funding to continue to combat the COVID-19 pandemic in Hays County and plan for future strategies to increase overall access to healthcare services.
St. David’s Foundation said, “In a continued effort to provide support to those impacted by the pandemic while advancing health equity, this phase of funding addresses some of the most critical issues our most vulnerable populations are facing.”
According to the foundation, each organization receiving Phase II Recovery Fund support is serving priority populations such as rural populations and communities of color, and providing vital services including behavioral health and emotional well-being, among other priorities.
