The Kyle Police Department responded to a domestic disturbance situation near the gas pumps at the Walmart parking lot Saturday evening.
One individual barricaded themselves inside a vehicle and refused to exit. The subject in the car was armed with multiple weapons and refused to exit.
Officers contained the area until the adult was eventually taken into custody and treated for non-life threatening self-inflicted wounds.
During the incident, a taser and diversionary device were deployed by Kyle Police and the assisting Hays County SWAT Team. A subject is now in custody and being treated for self-inflicted wounds.
Despite a few misleading social media comments to the contrary, this was in no way related to an active shooter type of event.
