The production, which is bursting with the rambunctious energy of the original MGM film and all the boisterous fun and romance that harkens back to the glory days of the movie musical, is seeking talented young men and women aged 8 to 20 to fill a variety of roles. The musical, directed and produced by Lee Colee’ Studios, is hosting a general call for young actors and performers will be seen in the order they sign in.
“It’s always fun and a little fascinating to watch the young talent develop their skills during the camp experience and truly shine during the performances afterward,” said Cay DeStefano, Price Center executive director.
All young performers should come prepared to sing a memorized song of their choice, to present a short story in their own words, and to participate in an interview. Actors are also requested to bring a head and shoulders photo. Auditions for the final production are being scheduled by appointment and camp dates are June 5-25th.
For more information and to schedule an audition, please call Lee Colee’ director and producer, 512-847-7934 or write to her at lee@atnip.net.
