Roadway repairs and constructions are in high gear this time of year. Texas State University student traffic is lighter now than any other time of year allowing the City of San Marcos and Texas State University crews to make necessary repairs and perform maintenance work.

That’s in addition to the major infrastructure projects that have been underway around town for months. A short list of what’s happening this week is below:

  • Oscar Smith Avenue:  Thursday July 27, one lane at a time for maintenance work, flaggers will be present
  • Comanche Street:  Southbound lane closed from Lindsey to the Alkek garage until August 16 for Texas State University construction
  • Sessom Drive: Various lane closures continue from N. LBJ to Aquarena Drive.
  • Aquarena Drive (Loop 82): Daily lane closures for West Bound Loop 82 beginning at Mill Street and ending at the UPRR Crossing.
