Driftwood, TX — Monday, State Representative Erin Zwiener’s (D-Driftwood) campaign released a letter of support from 55 local educators, retired educators, and education leaders, as well as from three pro-public education groups.
“I’m honored to have the support of educators and retired educators across House District 45,” said Rep. Zwiener. “I’ll always fight for our children, and working hand-in-hand with our teachers is the best way to make sure every Texas kid gets a great education.”
Rep. Zwiener is endorsed by the Texas Chapter of the American Federation of Teachers, Texas State Teachers Association, and Texas Parent PAC. Her opponent is supported by a group that advocates for using tax money for vouchers for private schools.
“There is only one champion for public education and teachers in this race,” said Taylor Bounds, campaign manager. “That champion is Erin Zwiener.”
