Texas Association of Business Names New CEO

“As CEO of the Texas Association of Business, he will be leading the most influential and dominant voice for public policy issues affecting Texas business,” said Holly Reed, Managing Director, External Affairs with Texas Central Partners.

Following an extensive search process, the Texas Association of Business (TAB) executive committee has appointed Jeff Moseley to lead the organization, which serves as the state chamber of commerce. 

The TAB advocates for business and chambers of commerce across Texas.

Jeff’s resume includes successful stints as the state’s head of economic development under Governors George W. Bush and Rick Perry, and as the CEO of the Greater Houston Partnership, one of the largest chambers of commerce in Texas. Moseley was most recently with Texas Central Partners, where he has served as State Vice President of Government Affairs. Texas Central Partners is a private company developing a new high-speed rail system between Dallas and Houston.

Other roles in Moseley’s past include Vice Chairman of the Texas Department of Transportation Commission and Denton County Judge.

He is a 6^th-generation Texan and has been married to Jackie Barret of Comanche, Texas for 35 years. They have two daughters, Joi (SMU Pony) and Jenni (UT Longhorn). Moseley is a graduate and Outstanding Alumnus of Southern Nazarene University.

Moseley succeeds Bill Hammond, who in August 2016 announced his retirement from TAB after approximately 18 years at the helm of the organization. Lehman Associates, an Austin-based executive search firm that serves clients throughout the country, conducted the search on behalf of TAB.
