Texas.gov Recognized For Digital Excellence

“These awards recognize something many already know – when it comes to digital government, Texas does it best.”

Texas’ official website was recognized with state and national industry awards for website innovation and excellence, including accolades for the Texas Veterans Portal.

A creative marketing campaign was recognized that encourages Texans to go online to take care of government services. The state’s website has received nationwide recognition for the last eight years.

With 16 more awards in 2017, Texas.gov has received nearly 100 awards for a comprehensive list of accomplishments for their digital efforts. “Year after year, Texas.gov remains a top platform for digital government,” said Stacey Napier, executive director of the Texas Department of Information Resources, which oversees Texas.gov, “These awards recognize something many already know – when it comes to digital government, Texas does it best.”

Distinctions of note include awards for website and online services’ usability and plain language; comprehensive security and customer service excellence; and well-crafted, effective advertising, marketing and social media initiatives.
