Texas’ Halloween Flood Death Toll Currently At Six

Authorities throughout the Central Texas Corridor and Houston have reported the death toll from yesterday’s flood is up to six.

 

According to Lisa Block, the Travis County Emergency spokesperson, authorities found the body of an elderly woman who reportedly had been swept out of her home in the Austin area, and Travis County has not released her name.

 

Block stated that the woman and a man had been swept away by floodwaters from their southeast Travis County home. The man has been found alive and was being treated at a local hospital.

 

Today, the body of a man who went missing after his vehicle was caught in floodwaters in Travis County was also recovered, and in Houston, the bodies of two people have been recovered.

 

Two bodies were recovered in the Austin and San Antonio areas Friday.
