Texas rejects more rigorous teacher certification exam

The Educative Teacher Performance Assessment was designed to better prepare new teachers, but faced pushback from people who thought it would create barriers for people of color to enter the profession.

  • We need school choice where the money follows the students.

    It will create competition where the best teachers will be in demand. The high demand will increase the wages for those teachers at the same time increasing the quality of education for their students.

    It will allow parents to choose educational options for how their children learn best. Micro Schools and Parent Pods won’t just be for the rich.
