San Marcos – The Center for P-16 Initiatives will host its eighth annual Summer College Access Project (CAP) Camp on the Texas State University campus June 20-23.
CAP is a summer boot-camp dedicated to college access and success, and it is open to all incoming high school juniors and seniors.
Participants will gain an understanding of the college application process, financial aid issues, admission essay topics, life as a college freshman, and a variety of academic and professional aspects designed to help them prepare for college and career success.
CAP Camp attendees will grow in knowledge and confidence that will help them to complete the required steps to gain acceptance into the college or university of their choice, and to achieve success once they are there.
The CAP camp is free of charge, and space is open for a total of 35 incoming juniors and seniors. Preference will be given to incoming seniors on a first-come, first-served basis.
All camp activities will be held on the Texas State campus.
