Texas State ENACTUS Team Helps Local Veterans

SAN MARCOS, Texas – On Saturday, April 1st, 2017, the Texas State University ENACTUS Team participated in a job exposition for local military veterans at the San Marcos Army Reserve Base.

To give back to in exchange for their service, ENACTUS students enhanced local veterans’ professional skills by conducting mock interviews and critiquing resumes.

ENACTUS students dubbed this project “Battle Buddies” and created it when a need for veterans’ professional development was discovered. ENACTUS projects have a common goal: to benefit people, profit, and the planet.

This project empowered veterans with enhanced professional skills to encourage veterans to reach for higher paying jobs. In addition, ENACTUS students gave away refurbished laptops in a raffle.

ENACTUS offers these students the opportunity to develop leadership, teamwork, and communication skills through learning, practicing and teaching the principles of free enterprise, thereby improving the standard of living for millions in the process.
