Texas State Prepares For Summer 2020 Virtual Commencement

SAN MARCOS – Texas State University will host virtual commencement ceremonies for spring and summer 2020 graduates on Saturday, August 8.

The main commencement ceremony video with degree conferral and other traditional ceremony elements will be streamed beginning at 10 AM on the commencement website at www.txstate.edu/commencement.

Immediately following the main ceremony, graduates and guests can select a college-specific ceremony webpage to view remarks from their college dean as well as the calling of graduate names.

Graduates and guests can find more specific details about college affiliations and a schedule in the commencement program, which is available on the commencement website at www.txstate.edu/commencement/candidate-information/program.html.

Texas State is holding virtual commencement ceremonies in response to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

It is not possible to hold in-person commencement ceremonies in August 2020 for spring and summer graduates while adhering to the required social distancing measures to ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of students, their families, faculty and staff.
