Texas State Representative Zwiener Endorses Elizabeth Warren

San Marcos, TX – On Wednesday, Texas State Representative Erin Zwiener endorsed Elizabeth Warren for President. Zwiener was elected to the Texas Legislature in 2018.

Zwiener flipped Texas’ House District 45, a competitive seat south of Austin, which includes both suburban and rural communities, by running as a strong progressive, focusing on issues, and putting forth concrete solutions and bold plans to improve people’s lives that resonated with Texas’ unlikely and moderate voters.

“The 2020 Democratic presidential primary is filled with talented, compassionate candidates who are deeply committed to the greater good, but today I am excited to announce my support for Senator Elizabeth Warren,” said Representative Zwiener. “Elizabeth Warren knows that we are a grassroots party, not a party of figureheads, and is building a movement to deliver real results for everyday Americans. Her commitment to supporting progressives up and down-ballot is critical to long-term policy change at every level of government, and I believe she’s ready to lead on day one. I look forward to seeing Elizabeth as the next president of the United States of America.”

“I’m thrilled to have Representative Zwiener’s support in this campaign. Erin is an inspiration to us all — she stood up for what’s right when her representative tried to silence her for demanding accountability. She ran a successful campaign while pregnant and then with her baby daughter — so every kid can build a future.” said Warren. “Erin knows the importance of fighting for candidates we believe in and inspiring others to join us. With her in this fight, I know we’re going to make real, substantive change.”
