NEW ORLEANS – Senior guard Toshua Leavitt was named to the 2018-19 All-Sun Belt Conference First Team, the league announced Monday afternoon.
“What an honor for our program and for Toshua to be named first team All-Sun Belt,” head coach Zenarae Antoine said. “It is a well-deserved honor with her breaking various record at Texas State, in the league, and nationally over her four years in the Maroon and Gold. It is a great day to be a Bobcat!”
Leavitt became the 12th Texas State women’s basketball player to be selected as a first team all-conference performer and the second in as many years. Last season Leavitt was named to the second team, while teammate Taeler Deer collected first team honors.

Leavitt holds the Texas State and Sun Belt records in made 3-pointers for a career (359), single-season (137) and single-game (10). She is one of nine current Division I women’s basketball players to have made at least 350 career 3-point field goal attempts.
She is tied for the conference lead with 10 games of 20-plus points scored, including two 30-point efforts. Her 35-point game at Georgia State ranks as the highest single-game effort by any player in the Sun Belt Conference this season. Leavitt ranks ninth in program history with 1,518 career points in her storied career at Texas State.
Texas State earned the No. 6 seed and a spot in the second round of the 2019 Sun Belt Conference Championship. The Bobcats will take on the winner of No. 7 South Alabama and No. 10 Louisiana at 2 p.m. March 13 in the Lakefront Arena in New Orleans.
