Texas State Sorority Presents Check To County Veteran Services Office

Hays County Courthouse, San Marcos, TX – The Hays County Commissioners Court Tuesday accepted a donation of $460 for the County’s Veteran Services Office from the Delta Psi chapter of the Alpha Xi Delta sorority at Texas State University.

The sorority member sold t-shirts with support “postcards” on them during a “Kisses for the Troops” fundraiser. The money raised will be used for veteran services programs for the County.

“We are delighted that Texas State students support our troops and veterans in such a meaningful way,” Veteran Services Officer Jude Prather said. “Our thanks go to all the sorority sisters who designed, produced and sold the t-shirts and to those who purchased them.”
