The 70th Annual H-E-B Thanksgiving Parade In Houston To Be Broadcast In Cities Across Texas

Throughout the holiday season, families can tune in to watch one of the state’s most festive parades

This year, the H-E-B Thanksgiving Parade in Houston celebrates its 70th year and families across Texas can enjoy watching one of the state’s most beloved celebrations throughout the holidays.

Set in downtown Houston, the parade starts at 9 a.m. on Thanksgiving morning and is free to attend and will be broadcast locally in the Houston area.

For those who can’t make it but want to celebrate the season and watch the festive parade, the following stations will broadcast the event on the following dates and times:

  • WFAA – Dallas (Thurs, 11/28 @ 9am and 11am)
  • KIII – Corpus Christi (Thurs, 11/28 @ 9am)
  • KENS – San Antonio (Tues, Dec. 24 @ 11:37pm / Wed, Dec. 25 @ 6am)
  • KVUE – Austin (Thurs, 11/28 @ 11am)
  • KUIL – Beaumont (Thurs, 11/28 @ 9am)
  • KRGV – Rio Grande (Thurs, 11/28 @ 9am)
  • KCEN – Waco-Temple-Bryan (Thurs, 11/28 @ 2pm)
  • KAGS – Waco-Temple-Bryan (Thurs, 11/28 @ 2pm)
  • KIDY – San Angelo (Thurs, 11/28 @ 9am)
  • KXVA – Abilene (Thurs, 11/28 @ 9am)
  • KYTX (CW) – Tyler/Longview (Thurs, 11/28 @ 9am)
  • KVIA/CW – El Paso (Sat, 11/30 @ 4pm)
  • KWES – Midland/Odessa (Sun, 12/1 @ 6am)
  • KAVU – Victoria (TBA)

Outside Texas:

  • WUPL – New Orleans (Sun, 12/1 @ 4pm / Sat, 12/28 @ 2pm)
  • KTHV11 – Little Rock, Ark (TBD)

The parade will feature 12 high-flying balloons and 13 elaborate floats, including the famous Tom Turkey and Santa Claus.

Additionally, the parade will include eight performing groups and eight marching bands from across the state.

The Voice contestant, Simone Gundy, will light up this year’s parade with a performance from “The Greatest Showman” in collaboration with local talent from the Houston Contemporary Second Company and Aldine Carver Dance Company.

Additional performances throughout the parade will feature a musical number from Theatre Under the Stars’ (TUTS) “Elf—The Musical,” Apache Belles and much more.
