The Central Texas Dispute Resolution Center (CTDRC or DRC) has received a grant from the Texas Bar Foundation. Since its inception in 1965, the Texas Bar Foundation has awarded more than 20 million dollars in grants to law-related programs.
Supported by members of the State Bar of Texas, the Texas Bar Foundation is the nation’s largest Charitably-funded bar foundation. This grant totaling $12,000.00 will be used for training expenses.
The DRC is a 501(C) (3) non-profit organization providing mediation services and training to the underserved and unserved in Hays, Comal, Guadalupe and Caldwell Counties. Its mission is to help peacefully resolve conflicts in the community.
The DRC was established in 2010 and initially offered services to Hays County as the Hays County Dispute Resolution Center. Over time, the demand and need for dispute resolution services increased a compelling transition into the Central Texas Dispute Resolution Center.
Mediators with the DRC are professionals, retired professionals or practicing attorneys in the state of Texas. All are volunteers and all non-attorneys are credentialed through the Texas Mediator Credentialing Association. The following cases are mediated:
