The Hub Cyclery Named March Business Of The Month

The Hub Cyclery, a full-service bike shop at 119 E Hopkins St., has been named the “2018 March Business of the Month” by the San Marcos Main Street Program.

Celebrating its 10th anniversary, The Hub advocates environmental responsibility by encouraging locals to commute to work or school with a bike.

Their service to the community, longevity and dedication to keeping San Marcos green and healthy has led them to where they are today as the March Downtown Business of the Month.

The Hub is a sponsor for the San Marcos High School Mountain Bike Team, which encourages high school students to get involved in mountain bike racing.

“We are excited to award Business of the Month to The Hub on the shop’s 10th anniversary. They are very deserving of accolades, and we hope the community congratulates them on this landmark accomplishment,” said Josie Falletta, Main Street Program Coordinator.

Nominations for “Business of the Month” are open on an ongoing basis. If you know a worthy business based on Main Street’s eight criteria below or for more information, email mainstreet@sanmarcostx.gov

The San Marcos Main Street Program chooses one downtown business each month for the Downtown Business of the Month award.

The award is presented to a business that exemplifies the following eight criteria; Growth, staying power, innovation, response to adversity, contribution to community oriented projects, marketing & promotional efforts, curb appeal, and beautification.
