The Meadows Center Invites Educators To A Back To School Teacher Open House On August 17

To kick off the new school year, educators and their families are invited to The Meadows Center for Water and the Environment’s Back to School Teacher Open House…

 

SAN MARCOS, TEXAS – To kick off the new school year, educators and their families are invited to The Meadows Center for Water and the Environment’s Back to School Teacher Open House on Friday, August 17 to experience and preview educational tours offered at Spring Lake for a reduced price.

From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. teachers and their immediate family members will receive the student-rate upon showing a valid school ID (public or private) or a pay stub at the ticket booth for the classic and extended glass-bottom boat tours, wetlands tours and aquarium tours.

The Meadows Center’s staff will also be available to answer questions regarding school field trips, curriculum, reservations and TEEAC credit from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Each year The Meadows Center engages with more than 30,000 school children through educational field trips at Spring Lake, teaching them about the importance of our natural resources and inspiring them to become environmental stewards.

The Meadow Center’s education programs provides customized field trips for students of all ages that are TEKS-aligned for science and social studies curriculum.
