The Meadows Center To Host Fourth Of July Celebration At Spring Lake

Kick-off the Fourth of July weekend with a patriotic-themed celebration on Saturday, featuring hands-on activity stations specially designed for kids and their families.

SAN MARCOS, TEXAS – The Meadows Center for Water and the Environment at Texas State University will host a series of Fourth of July events at Spring Lake for guests of all ages to enjoy a unique, educational celebration of American Independence.

Fourth of July programs and specials include:

Independence Day Family Fun Day | July 1 • 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. • FREE

Sunset Glass-Bottom Boat Cruises | July 4 • 7:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. • $12 per person

Spring Lake is even more majestic when experienced at sunset. Register for an exclusive, evening glass-bottom boat tour to enjoy breathtaking views of the sun setting over Spring Lake. Tickets are $12 per person and include guaranteed seating on the rooftop to watch the San Marcos Fireworks Show at 9 p.m. Register at http://bit.ly/2slHkl4.

Nighttime Aquaria & Fireworks Viewing | July 4 • 8:30 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. • $5 Suggested Admission

End a long Fourth of July weekend with a special nighttime opening of Spring Lake Hall. Visitors will have a chance to explore exhibits and aquaria in Discovery Hall beginning at 8:30 p.m.

Head upstairs to the rooftop at 9 p.m. for an exclusive view of the San Marcos Fireworks Show.

Watch the fireworks glow against the crystal clear waters of Spring Lake. Concessions will be available. Suggested admission of $5 at the door. Limited seating will be available, so guests are encouraged to bring chairs.
