This Weeks Road Construction Projects affecting San Marcos traffic Feb 19 – 25, 2017

ROAD CLOSURES    
PATTON ST/ROOSEVELT/CAMACHO: Patton St. to Roosevelt and Patton St. to Camacho St. will be closed for a utility installation through Feb. 28 daily, weather permitting. Please obey all detour signs. Rockin Q. Construction, 512.557.8748 Present Feb. 28
LP 82/AQUARENA SPRINGS: TxDOT will be introducing a new traffic signal at the intersection of Post/Bobcat. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction and then detour to the new signal. This will last approximately 45 days starting on February 15. TxDOT, 512.393.8130 Feb. 15 End of April
HOPKINS/HUTCHISON: The alley way between Hopkins and Hutchison, connected to Guadalupe, will be closed for fire line construction until February 14 from 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. daily, weather permitting. ABC Fire Systems, 512.484.9933 Present Feb. 14 @ 5 p.m.
600 BLOCK ALLEN ST.: Construction will begin on February 13 – 17 from 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. for curb inlet repair. City of San Marcos Drainage Dept., 512.393.8019 Feb. 13 @ 8 a.m. Feb. 17 @ 5 p.m.
LONG TERM CLOSURE – VISTA ST.: All lanes in both directions will be closed from 310 – 312 Vista Street for utility construction until July 31, 2018. Texas State University, 512.245.2202 Present July 31, 2018
 LP 82/LAUREL LANE: Various right and left lane closures will commence on LP 82 traveling both east and west bound for construction through Feb. 10 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., weather permitting. The closures will run from Bobcat Village entrance west bound for the paving of the east bound temporary single lane detour. Please use Sessom Drive and Ed J L Green Drive to access Laurel Drive.

SESSOM DR: There will be a one lane west bound closure for telecom installation on Sessom Dr. from N. LBJ to Aquarena Springs through Feb. 16 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Grande Communications, 512.590.9658 Present Feb. 16 @ 4 p.m.
SESSOM DR: There will be single lane closures from N. LBJ to Aquarena Springs on January 15 through March 31, weather permitting, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily for overhead utility work. CenturyLink, 903.675.0406 Jan. 15 @ 8 a.m. March 31 @ 5 p.m.
PEQUES ST: There will be a one lane north bound closure for telecom installation at the intersection of Peques and the 300-800 block of Sessom to the end of the Texas State Parking lot on January 19 through February 16 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Grande Communications, 512.590.9658 Jan. 19 @ 9 a.m. Feb. 16 @ 4 p.m.
LONG TERM CLOSURE – N LBJ:  From Holland St. to Camaro Way will be closed to through traffic until the summer of 2017. Road closure will occur during daytime construction hours. City contractor will be replacing utility lines in the area. Through traffic including Emergency Vehicles, will be routed around the project limits; please follow the detours. LONG TERM CLOSURE – WOODS ST: A segment of Woods St between Comanche and North Street will be closed during construction of the new Texas State University Engineering & Science Building beginning Monday, August 15 until August 2018. Project Manager Scott Rouse, 512.245.2202 Aug 15, 2016 August 2018
EAST SAN ANTONIO STREET: Half a block closed from the alley to N. LBJ every Saturday from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. for the Farmers Market on the Square. Main Street Program, 512.393.8430. Year Round
