• 7 Road Construction Projects You Need To Know About •

 

  • Friday and Saturday (1/19 – 1/20), from 9 PM to 10 AM, the US 183 southbound mainlanes will be closed at the Colorado River. Detour by exiting at Bolm Road and follow the detour signs to reach the Montopolis Drive bridge and access US 183 southbound. Expect Delays. If traveling to the airport for an early morning flight, plan ahead.

 

  • Friday (1/19) and Monday (1/22), from 8 PM to 6 AM, the exit from northbound US 183 to northbound Airport Boulevard will be closed. Detour by heading north on US 183 to the Bolm Road exit and following detour signs.

 

  • Sunday (1/21), from 6 PM to 6 AM, and Monday — Thursday (1/22 – 25), from 8 PM to 6 AM, US 183 in both directions will be reduced to one lane between US 290 and 51st Street.

 

  • CONTINUOUSLY  between Monday (1/22), at 9 PM until Monday, (2/5) at 9 AM, Smith Road will be closed west of US 183. All traffic will detour to Eastgate Road.

 

  • Monday – Friday (1/22 – 1/26), from 9 AM to 3 PM, Manor/Springdale Road underneath US 183 will be reduced by one lane. The US 183 frontage roads between US 290 and Manor/Springdale Road will also be reduced by one lane.

 

  • Wednesday (1/24), from 9 PM to 6 AM, and Thursday (1/25), from 8 PM to 6 AM, the northbound mainlanes of US 183 will be closed over the River. Traffic will detour by exiting to northbound Airport Boulevard, turn left onto Levander Loop and loop around to the northbound lanes north of Bolm Road. Expect Delays.

 

  • CONTINUOUSLY between Friday (1/26), at 8 PM till Monday (1/29), at 5 AM, eastbound Thompson Lane will be closed at US 183. All traffic to detour to Dalton Lane.

The Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority (CTRMA) is an independent government agency created in 2002 to improve the transportation system in Williamson and Travis counties.

According to their website, their mission is “to implement innovative, multi-modal transportation solutions that reduce congestion and create transportation choices that enhance quality of life and economic vitality.”

The Mobility Authority was created and operates under the Texas Transportation Code Chapter 370 and is authorized under state law to implement a wide range of transportation systems including roadways, airports, seaports and transit services.

The Mobility Authority is authorized to issue revenue bonds to fund projects and can utilize user fees and/or taxes to fund operations and repay bonds.
