Thursday’s Downtown Walkabout To Feature Mardi Gras Poster, Artist & Parade Info

The Thursday Downtown Walkabout is a annual event in downtown San Marcos and includes activities involving art, shopping and wine. Immerse yourself in San Marcos culture. 

San Marcos, TX – This week’s Third Thursday Downtown Walkabout activities at the Price Center will feature the Mystic Krewe of Okeanos’ 2018 Mardi Gras collectible poster and T-shirts for sale along with information about participating in the Krewes’ upcoming downtown Mardi Gras Parade and post party at the Center on Sat., Feb. 10. Poster artist Lauren Huffman will be on hand to personally autograph purchased copies and members of the Krewe will be available to answer questions about the upcoming Mardi Gras festivities.  A limited number of the collectible posters will be available to purchase for $15; T-shirts will also be available for $20.

Guests to the Center Thursday evening may also enjoy a complimentary 15-minute massage by Maxfield’s Melting Massage and take in new SMCISD Visual Arts K-12 works as well as the new, love-inspired quilts by Bee Friends. As always, the event is free, open to all and light, complimentary refreshments will be served.
