Tickets Available For San Marcos’s 50+ Valentine’s Celebration

The City of San Marcos Parks and Recreation Department is hosting the 21st annual Golden Sweetheart’s Ball on Friday, Feb. 14 from 6 to 10 p.m. at the San Marcos Activity Center, 501 E. Hopkins.

Couples and singles ages 50 and above are invited to attend.

The evening will include a catered buffet dinner and music by Sound Experience. Door prizes will be given away throughout the evening.

Registration is $16 per person before Feb. 10 and $20 per person after Feb. 10. All sales are final. The deadline to register is Wednesday, Feb. 12.

Seating is limited. Reserve a spot now by visiting the Parks and Recreation Main Office, 401 E. Hopkins, or the San Marcos Activity Center, 501 E. Hopkins. Registration is also available online at www.sanmarcostx.gov/activeSMTX (search “Golden”).

  • This article is not promoting the event accurately. It is for all ages (states on site referenced from ages 12-99). I have confirmed with there staff as well as purchased 2 tickets already with us both being under 50. Please correct the article so as to accurately support to event and sales of it's tickets.

  • Lease ignore my comment. I just went in to confirm and it was a mistake across the board with the staff. Someone changed the event age and another sold me tickets without verification of my age. They have issued refunds and plan to correct the site. Sorry for the confusion
