Tickets Now On Sale For 2018 Wine And Art Walk

“Hosting events like the Wine and Art Walk are always exciting,” said Samantha Armbruster, Main Street Program Manager. “It provides a way to showcase the vibrant talent that exists in San Marcos while allowing participants to explore downtown.”

Tickets are now on sale for the Wine and Art Weekend June 8, hosted by the San Marcos Main Street Program. The annual event celebrates the unique art and culture of San Marcos by inviting guests to listen to live music, view local artists’ work and enjoy specialty wines.

Pre-sale tickets are available at www.smtxwinewalk.com for $25, but prices will increase to $30 the day of the event.

Starting at 6 p.m. June 8, guests can check in at the Downtown Family Plaza located at 214 E. Hutchinson. During this time, participants will receive a commemorative wine glass and a downtown tote bag.

From 6 to 9 p.m., ticket holders can stroll or ride a pedicab to visit the downtown stops, try a variety of wine tastings paired with hors d’oeuvres and view the works of local artists curated in through the San Marcos Art League.

Along with providing wine and food pairings, each Wine and Art Walk stop will highlight a local artist and their work.

Through events like the Wine and Art Walk, the San Marcos Main Street Program continues to achieve their goal of fostering a downtown that is place where people of all ages can connect, create and celebrate.

“Hosting events like the Wine and Art Walk are always exciting,” said Samantha Armbruster, Main Street Program Manager. “It provides a way to showcase the vibrant talent that exists in San Marcos while allowing participants to explore downtown.”
