Time To Take Down The 300A – Don’t Forget This One Reminder

By Robert J. Box

As it is time to take down the Form 300A, now is a good time to remind employers not to make one common mistake.

OSHA’s Form 300A must be posted each year for qualifying employers from February 1 through April 30 each year.  As it is time to take down the Form 300A, now is a good time to remind employers not to make one common mistake:  Throwing the Form 300A away.

Some employers wrongly believe throwing away the Form 300A Annual Summary is okay as long as the form can be produced again. Remember that the Form 300A must be certified by signature of a company official before February 1 of each year. If the Form 300A is thrown away, there would be no documentation the form was certified appropriately.

Of course, a scanned copy of the certified form is acceptable as digital documentation is perfectly fine.
