TODAY: Community Empty Bowl Project Nov 19

The Community Empty Bowl Project is presented by the San Marcos High School Art Department and the Culinary Arts Department, along with the Walkers’ Gallery, on Saturday, November 19, 4-8 pm, at the San Marcos Activity Center, 501 E. Hopkins.

The event benefits the Turkeys Tackling Hunger program of the Hays County Food Bank.

For $20, you can fill your hand-crafted bowl (made by art students) with delicious chili (made by Culinary Arts students) and sit back and enjoy family fun and music.

Music will be provided by a children’s choir, jazz and, symphony musicians, and more. Visit the Walkers’ Gallery to enjoy the creations of local artists.

There will be an opportunity to bid on special bowls that have been hand-painted by celebrities. You can fill them with chili or just show them off to your friends!
