TONIGHT: Calling all Parrotheads! Bluffett to Play at Final Spring Concert

The final Keep San Marcos Beautiful Spring Concert Series at Plaza Park will feature popular Jimmy Buffett tribute artist Bluffett. Pre-concert events start at 6:30 p.m. at the San Marcos Plaza Park stage, 401 E. Hopkins, located at the corner of CM Allen Parkway and Hopkins.

Bluffett:
A tribute to Jimmy Buffett’s band, Bluffett was created by a super fan named Larry Pearson. Pearson began singing Jimmy Buffett’s covers for audiences and the feedback was so positive, he created his own band. Bluffet has been on tour for 15 years and doesn’t plan to stop anytime soon.

Concert headliners take the stage at approximately 7:30 p.m. In case of severe weather the spring concert series will be moved to The Marc.

Free public, on-street parking is available within walking distance of the concert, as well as at City Park.

The parking lot at the Grant Harris, Jr. Building will be closed to the general public. Parking attendants will be on site to accommodate those who need handicapped parking along with others previously approved to park. The parking lots at the Chamber of Commerce and Old Fish Hatchery will be closed to the general public as well, and parking attendants will be on hand to allow for volunteer, vendor, and sponsor parking.

The public is invited to bring lawn chairs to enjoy the free concert. Responsible use of alcohol is allowed at this event for those over 21. Under park rules Styrofoam, glass, and smoking are not permitted.

This event is made possible by support from Texas Commission on the Arts, the San Marcos Convention & Visitors Bureau, Texas Disposal Systems, Grande Communications, Silverleaf Resorts, The Root Cellar, Erbert & Gerbert’s, Hampton Inn & Suites, The Hitch, Carson Properties, and Full Circle Salon.
