I-35 FROM RUNDBERG LANE TO US 290 EAST
On Sunday, Aug. 9 at 8 PM, crews will close the southbound US 183 mainlanes and frontage road between I-35 and the Cameron Road entrance ramp. Traffic will detour to southbound I-35 to take US 290 East to access US 183.
Beginning on Monday, Aug. 10 through Friday, Aug. 14, the southbound I-35 frontage road between Wonsley Drive and US 183 will temporarily close each night from 8 PM until 5:30 AM.
Traffic will detour to Wonsley Drive and Georgian Acres to access US 183. The southbound I-35 exit for US 183/St. Johns Avenue (#240) will also be closed. Traffic should detour to the southbound I-35 RM 2222 exit (#238A) and use the US 290 East U-turn to access St. Johns Avenue.
I-35 AT POSEY ROAD
PROJECT OVERVIEW | This project will construct a new overpass on I-35 over Posey Road, add two new U-turns in each direction at Posey Road, perform ramp reversals and convert two-way frontage roads to one-way.
Currently, the I-35 main lanes go under Posey Road. The new configuration will have the I-35 main lanes going over Posey Road.

I-35 FROM STASSNEY LANE TO WILLIAM CANNON DRIVE
PROJECT OVERVIEW | The project will reconstruct the bridge structures at Stassney Lane and William Cannon Drive, as well as the frontage road bridge over Williamson Creek.
New U-turn bridges will be added in both directions at Stassney Lane and William Cannon Drive, and the I-35 main lanes will be widened to incorporate shoulders and extended entrance/exit lanes to allow for better merging.
Bicycle and pedestrian enhancements are also being made, and new safety lighting is being installed.

I-35 AT OLTORF ST.
PROJECT OVERVIEW | Improvements include the reconstruction of the Oltorf Street bridge, improving entrance/exit ramps and frontage roads.
Additionally, construction of new extended entrance/exit lanes for main lanes and ramps, and adding U-turns in both directions at Oltorf Street.
Bicycle and pedestrian enhancements will also be made along the I-35 frontage roads in each direction within the project limits.

I-35 FROM RUNDBERG LN. TO US 290 EAST
PROJECT OVERVIEW | This project includes main lanes and frontage road reconstruction and the addition of three new flyovers at US 183.
The project also includes reconstruction of the St. Johns Avenue Bridge, the addition of frontage road U-turns on both sides, intersection bypass lanes under St. Johns Avenue in both directions, extended entrance/exit lanes, and ramp and shoulder improvements.

I-35 FROM 1431 TO FM 3406 (NORTHBOUND)
PROJECT OVERVIEW | The intersection of FM 3406 and the I-35 frontage roads are being improved, and the FM 3406 bridge over I-35 is being reconstructed.
The FM 3406 (Old Settlers Blvd) bridge will close to eastbound traffic. Westbound traffic will detour to the newly constructed U-turn Bridge.

I-35 FROM GRAND AVENUE PARKWAY TO SH 45 NORTH
PROJECT ACTIVITY | Improvements include reversing ramps, constructing an extended entrance/exit lane on the northbound I-35 mainlanes under SH 45 North, and along the frontage road, installing high-mast lighting and improvements at Picadilly Drive and the I-35 frontage road.

I-35 AT PARMER LANE
PROJECT OVERVIEW | Reduced congestion, improved mobility at Parmer Lane and Lamar Boulevard, operational efficiency, more reliable travel times, lower fuel consumption.
The start date is summer 2019 and is scheduled to be completed summer of 2021. The construction costs are estimated to be $24.6 million.
