Currently, the I-35 main lanes go under Posey Road with the new configuration, I-35 main lanes will going over Posey Road.
This project is made possible by a partnership between Hays County/TxDOT and is expected to cost $31.7 million funded by TxDOT.
The I-35 and Posey Road construction started in February 2019 and anticipated construction completion is planned for mid-2021. The project contractor is Webber, LLC.

New U-turn bridges will be added in both directions at Stassney Lane and William Cannon Drive, and the I-35 main lanes will be widened to incorporate shoulders and extended entrance/exit lanes to allow for better merging.
This major project is estimated to cost $78.8 million. Construction started in July 2016 with the anticipated completion in late 2020. The contractor for this project is OHL, USA, Inc.

Northbound I-35 reduced to one lane nightly from Slaughter Lane to the Ben White Boulevard/Woodward Street exit (#230).

Northbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed at Stassney Lane.
• Saturday, Sept. 26 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Southbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed daily at Stassney Lane.

Northbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed from William Cannon Drive to Boggy Creek Drive.

The construction started in September 2019 and is anticipated to conclude in Fall 2020, weather permitting. The projected project cost is estimated at $8.15 million and the contractor is Chasco Constructors.

I-35 from Rundberg Lane to US 290 East is estimated to cost $124.2 million and is made possible by Texas Clear Lanes Congestion Relief Fund.
The construction commenced in January 2018 with an anticipated completion date in mid-2021. The contractor for this project is J.D. Abrams.

• Sunday, Sept. 27 through Thursday, Oct. 1 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
Southbound I-35 frontage road closed nightly from Wonsley Drive to US 183. The US 183/St. Johns Avenue exit (#240) will also be closed.
• Sunday, Sept. 27 through Thursday, Oct. 1 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
Southbound I-35 frontage road closed nightly from Middle Lane to Powell Lane.

Northbound US 183 frontage road left lane closed nightly from Rutherford Road to Cameron Road.
• Monday, Sept. 28 through Thursday, Oct. 1 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
Southbound I-35 frontage road right lane closed daily from Blackson Avenue to Huntland Drive.
• Monday, Sept. 28 through Friday, Oct. 2 from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
Northbound US 183 frontage road left lane closed nightly from Cameron Road to Clock Tower Drive. The I-35/Lamar Boulevard exit and the Cameron Road entrance ramp will also be closed.
• Tuesday, Sept. 29 through Thursday, Oct. 1 from 9 p.m. until 5 a.m.
St. Johns Avenue closed nightly at the southbound I-35 frontage road.

Construction started in July 2019 with an estimated timeline to be completed by mid-2021. Primoris Services Corporation as the project contractor.
