Top Weekly Road Construction Projects In San Marcos

The long & short term road construction projects that could affect your drive… Please use caution, drive slowly, and watch for heavy equipment, construction workers, and traffic control flaggers.

All traffic projects may be subject to delays or extensions due to weather and/or the current Public Health situation.

Street Maintenance

Traffic will have intermittent lane closure citywide for Crosswalk and School Zone striping for the Following Neighborhoods:

MLK between Wilson and Mitchell, intermittent lane closures daily 8 AM – 5 PM for sidewalk construction. Transportation, 512.393.8036

Johnson between MLK and W. San Antonio, intermittent lane closures daily 8 AM – 5 PM for sidewalk construction. Transportation, 512.393.8036

Special Weekly Closures

EAST SAN ANTONIO STREET: Every Saturday FARMERS MARKET
Every Saturday from 7:30 AM to 3 PM Half a block of the street closed from the Alley to N. LBJ for the Farmers Market on the Square. Main Street Program 512.393.8430.

GUADALUPE STREET: 04/29/2020 to 05/29/2020 UTILITY CONSTRUCTION PROJECT
The 200blk of Guadalupe Street will be closed due to a PICP Utility Construction Project from March 16 – May 29, 2020, from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM – McReynolds Co LLC – David Morgan – 214.310.1865

MCCARTY LANE: 05/20/2020 to 05/22/2020 ROADWAY MAINTENANCE
Eastbound McCarty Lane will be closed between Hunter Rd and IH35 for roadway maintenance, May 20-22, 2020, from 7:00 AM – 6:00 PM — Transportation, 512.393.8036

LINDA LANE: 05/18/2020 to 05/20/2020 UTILITY POLE RELOCATION

VICTORY GARDENS PROJECT 05/01/20 to 05/31/20 UNDERGROUND UTILITY INSTALLATION
The Victory Gardens Neighborhood will undergo a new underground utility installation with Impact to traffic on the following streets Georgia Street, Armstrong Street, Eisenhower Street, Camacho Street, McArthur Street, Virginia Street, and Churchill Street. Starting May 1 – May 31, 2020 from 7:00 am – 5:00 pm – Darren – Cox Commercial Construction – 956.601.1645

DOWNTOWN LOFTS APARTMENTS PROJECT 09/23/2019 to 10/2020 DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS
Fredericksburg Street: Fredericksburg Street at Hopkins Street to San Antonio, the southbound lane of Telephone Alley at Hopkins to San Antonio, and Feltner Alley at San Antonio will be closed due to construction starting September 13, 2019 – October 2020. A.C.G. LLC 248.632.2311

HOPKINS STREET 05/2020 to 12/2021 UTILITY INSTALLATION
From Bishop to Moore – Gas and telecommunication relocations continue with intermittent street closures. The Hopkins Street Project will close Hopkins to thru traffic beginning in April 2020 thru December 2021 for road widening and utility installation – Richard Reynosa – 512.393.8235

MILLS STREET RECONSTRUCTION 04/2020 to 12/2020 RECONSTRUCTION OF WATERLINE
Mill Street between 500 and 700 blocks will have partial lane closure through April 2020, for the reconstruction of waterline services and potholing. COERS STREET 10/01/2018 to 06/01/2020 DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS
Coers Street between Old RR 12 to Owens Street will be reduced to one-way traffic until June 1, 2020, from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM for drainage improvement – Denbow Company – 512.264.2767

CONCHO STREET APRIL 2020 to SUMMER 2020 CONSTRUCTION
Concho Street will have a full lane closure, starting April 14, 2020, through the summer of 2020 for Construction. 3411 Builders, Inc. – Richard Bagby- 832.449.0328
