Town Halls and neighborhood pop-up sessions are designed to educate residents about Buda Bonds 2021

BUDA – The City of Buda is providing a series of “town hall” meetings and neighborhood “pop-up” sessions to help educate Buda residents about the general obligation bond package coming up on the Nov. 2, 2021 ballot in Buda. The bond propositions primarily include transportation and parks projects totaling $89.66 million.

To ensure Buda residents have the information they need to make informed decisions before voting, Buda residents are encouraged to attend one or more of the scheduled free events. Using the schedule below, citizens may find the town hall meeting or pop-up session that best accommodates their respective schedules. Educational information will be made available at these evets, and residents may ask questions about the projects entailed in each proposition.

Buda Bonds Town Hall #1

Format: In-Person

Time: 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Day/Date: Thursday, Oct. 7, 2021

Location: Municipal Bldg. Multi-Purpose Room 1034

Pop-Up Session #1

Format: In-Person

Time: 10 a.m. to noon

Day/Date: Saturday, Oct. 9, 2021

Location: Garlic Creek Park Outdoor Pavilion

Buda Bonds Town Hall #2

Format: In-Person

Time: 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Day/Date: Wednesday, Oct. 13, 2021

Location: Cabela’s Conference Rooms – Upstairs

Pop-Up Session #2

Format: In-Person

Time: 10 a.m. to noon

Day/Date: Saturday, Oct. 16, 2021

Location: Green Meadows Park Outdoor Pavilion

Buda Bonds Town Hall #3

Format: Virtual

Time: 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Day/Date: Monday, Oct. 18, 2021

Residents also may visit the informational website, www.budabonds.com, called “Your Buda, Your Choice.” The website provides information in both English and Spanish. Please follow Buda social media sites for changes and updates on these meetings.

The City of Buda is home to about 18,000 residents and has earned designations as a “Texas Main Street City,” “Tree City USA,” “Bee City Affiliate” and “Platinum-Level Scenic City.” Buda is situated along the Interstate 35 corridor, has 14 parks and a historic downtown district where residents and visitors alike can shop, dine, relax, and breathe easy here.
