AUSTIN – Construction crews will close southbound Loop 1 at Loop 360 for bridge work on Saturday night, June 25, weather permitting.
Beginning at 10 p.m.:
During the closure, crews will be hanging concrete beams on the northbound Loop 360 bridge over southbound Loop 1, as well as on the Loop 1 northbound frontage road. Police will be on hand to assist with the closure. This work is being performed as part of the $6.44 million Loop 360 auxiliary lanes, or extended entrance/exit lanes, project.
Crews expect work to be complete by 10 a.m. Sunday, but will re-open the lanes sooner if work is finished early.
Road signs have been placed alerting drivers of the closure. Motorists should allow extra time to travel through this area during the affected hours. TxDOT asks the traveling public to be patient and remain aware when traveling through the work zone.
