AUSTIN — Travelers on I-35 between Slaughter Lane and Onion Creek Parkway can expect short term closures on the main lanes and frontage roads on Sunday morning, May 7.
Crews will be halting traffic in both directions multiple times between 5 a.m. until 9 a.m. to stretch new electrical lines across the entire interstate. The closures will be 10-15 minutes in duration, with police stopping traffic as needed.
Road signs have been placed to alert drivers of the closure. Motorists should allow extra time to travel through the area during the affected hours. TxDOT asks the traveling public to be patient and remain aware when traveling through the work zone.
