The Hopkins/LBJ intersection will be reduced to one lane each way Nov. 30 beginning at 7 p.m. for the replacement of the traffic signal poles. San Marcos Police Department personnel will direct traffic during the change.
The two new traffic signal poles and three freestanding pedestrian crossing lights match the design of those installed with the Downtown Reconstruction project that was completed earlier this year.
The installation is expected to be complete by the afternoon of Tuesday, Dec. 1. Motorists and pedestrians are reminded to always use caution in or near a construction zone.
