Traffic Update for August 14-20th

WOODS ST: A segment of Woods St between Comanche and North Street will be closed during construction of the new Texas State University Engineering & Science Building beginning Monday, August 15 until August 2018. Project Manager Scott Rouse, 512.245.2202.

 

E DE ZAVALA DR.:  From Staples Hwy to State Hwy 123, street renovation maintenance through Aug. 22, weather permitting from 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. daily. 100 BLOCK CHARLES AUSTIN DRIVE: The road will be closed from 7 a.m. on Saturday Aug. 20 to 5 p.m. on Sunday Aug. 21 for residence hall move-in. TSU, 512.245.6272

 

SESSOM DRIVE AT PEQUES STREET: City contractor will be working in the area to install underground electrical conduit. One lane of westbound Sessom will be closed daily and through the weekend for construction at Peques Drive. The intermittent closure is currently scheduled during working hours until Aug. 19. SESSOM DRIVE AT NLBJ: City contractor will be inspecting a sanitary sewer line in Sessom Creek.  One lane of westbound Sessom (right turn lane onto N. LBJ) will be closed intermittently for the inspection. The intermittent closure is currently scheduled during working hours until Aug. 19. Engineering/Capital Improvements, 512.393.8130

 

CHARLES AUSTIN DRIVE/LP 82: Right lane westbound closure heading to the Charles Austin intersection will occur to place the remaining asphalt on the North side of LP 82  approximately 400’ west of Laurel Street  on Thursday Aug. 18 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. , weather permitting. TxDOT 512.750.5189

 

SMHS ROTC 5K RUN:  On Saturday, Aug. 20 from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. there will be a 5K Rattlesnake Run starting at the San Marcos High School. There will be no road closures, but police officers will provide traffic control for the runners. The run begins at the high school and will include Rattler Road, McCarty Lane, Old Bastrop HWY and a small portion of HWY 123 between McCarty Lane and Old Bastrop HWY. Lt. 417 N COMANCHE/LINDSEY: All lanes in both directions will be closed for through traffic for new construction through Aug. 15. Please follow all detour signs. Skyline Builders, 512.699.6465

 

EAST SAN ANTONIO STREET: Every Saturday from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.  Half a block of street closed from the alley to N. LBJ for the Farmers Market on the Square. Main Street Program, 512.393.8430
