Traffic Update: Lane closures around San Marcos

AQUARENA SPRINGS/CHARLES AUSTIN DR: On Friday, July 22 a main water break closed the Aquarena Springs Drive bridge over the San Marcos River and caused significant damage to the roadway. The bridge will be closed for approximately 48 hours, weather permitting, until repairs to the roadway can be completed. Traffic is being detoured to Charles Austin Drive and University Drive. ED JL GREEN: From Sessom St. to Laurel Ridge, maintenance will start on July 6 – 29, weather permitting, from 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. daily. Please park your vehicle off the street or it may be towed at your own expense. City of San Marcos Streets Dept., 512.393.8025
 
417 N COMANCHE/LINDSEY: All lanes in both directions will be closed for through traffic for new construction through July 27. Please follow all detour signs. Skyline Builders, 512.699.6465
 
IH-35/McCARTY LANE: A new street signal has been installed at the intersection of IH-35 and McCarty. Lights were placed on flashing red setting July 20 and will be in full operation by Tuesday, July 26. Please be aware of new signal. TxDOT, 512.353.1061
 
SESSOM DRIVE AT PEQUES STREET: City contractor will be working in the area to install underground electrical conduit. One lane of westbound Sessom will be closed daily and through the weekend for construction at Peques Drive. The intermittent closure is currently scheduled during working hours until August 12.
