Traffic Update: Projects Affecting San Marcos Traffic

Projects affecting San Marcos traffic January 10 – 16, 2016

IH 35/Yarrington Rd: East and west bound lanes on Yarrington Rd east of IH 35 will be closed for intersection maintenance on Jan. 10 – 13 beginning at 8 p.m. Marked detour signs will be posted. TxDOT, 737.600.3137  
 
 
150 S LBJ: Alley way behind 150 S LBJ will be closed for electrical and telephone underground installation on Jan. 11 – 22, weather permitting. Barricades and detour signs will be posted to reroute traffic. Current Electric, Inc. 512.353.0141  
 
TALBOT ST/W. WOODS: The intersection of W. Woods and Talbot St. will have alternating lane closures with one way through traffic for the installation of site utilities through Jan. 13, 2016 from 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. Texas State University, 512.245.2202  
 
CENTERPOINT/TANGER PREMIUM OUTLET INTERSECTION:  The intersection will be under construction for a new traffic signalization project from 9 p.m. till 8 a.m. nightly and is scheduled for completion after Feb. 1, 2016. There will be alternating lane closures at the mall entrances. 
 
ELLIS ST: All lanes in both directions will be closed for the installation of box culverts through Jan. 29, 2016. Smith Contracting, 512.694.2552  
LINDA DRIVE: New driveway approaches will be installed on Linda Drive between Sherbarb and Bugg Lane through end of January 2016, weather permitting from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. excluding weekends. City of San Marcos Drainage Dept., 512.393.8019
 
EAST SAN ANTONIO STREET: Every Saturday from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.  Half a block of street closed from the alley to N. LBJ for the Farmers Market on the Square. Main Street Program, 512.393.8430   
 
LONG TERM ROAD PROJECTS:  
 
NORTH LBJ FROM CAMARO WAY TO CRADDOCK: This road will be open to two-way traffic, but the lanes will be shifted west to allow space for the City contractor to construct a new lift station on the corner of N. LBJ and Craddock. Project will last until summer 2016. Engineering/Capital Improvements, 512.393.8130  
 
817 CHESTNUT ST: One lane will be closed for new construction to site on Dec. 7 through June 2, 2016. Street will continue to be passable to all traffic. J4 Development, 469.236.0922  
 
MOORE STREET: Moore Street is closed from Read to Holland Street until 2016 for dormitory construction. Texas State University FPDC, 512.245.2202
