Travis Elementary Holds “Fall Fest”

Hundreds of local friends, families, and students enjoyed the festivities of the Annual “Fall Fest” at Travis Elementary. Students from the Gary Job Corps HOPE program assisted the PTO Volunteers, teachers, students, and parents with the games, face painting, Teacher Chili Cook-off, pumpkin raffle, and Trunk-or-Treat. The Gary Job Corps has Travis Elementary as their Adopt-a-School for the past 17 years, over the years students have assisted with the Fall and Spring Fest, Mother’s Day cake decorating, fund drives on many projects, and having students that assist as Teacher’s Aides as part of an Intern Program.
