TWDB Approves $22.2M For Water Projects

The financial assistance could save the city approximately $719,000 over the life of the loans.

The Texas Water Development Board (TWDB) approved financial assistance in the amount of $4,280,000, consisting of an $890,000 loan from the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) and a $3,390,000 loan from the Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF), to the city of Llano.

The financial assistance could save the city approximately $719,000 over the life of the loans. The loans will allow the city to finance the construction costs associated with the replacement of 4,000 feet of water pipeline. Llano also will replace over 7,000 feet of sewer main pipeline and 30 wastewater manholes.

The TWDB approved financial assistance in the amount of $16,710,000 from the DWSRF to the Greater Texoma Utility Authority on behalf of the city of Princeton. The city could save approximately $3.9 million over the life of the loan by using the DWSRF. The city will construct a new 15-million-gallon-per-day pump station and a 4-million-gallon ground storage tank. The city will also install 1,000 linear feet of pipeline to the new pump station site.

The TWDB also approved financial assistance in the amount of $1.2 million from the DWSRF to the city of Eldorado. The city could save approximately $169,000 over the life of the loan by using the DWSRF. Eldorado will construct a 100,000-gallon elevated storage tank and install approximately 3,200 linear feet of pipeline and a Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system. The SCADA system will allow the city to monitor and control its wells, pumps, and storage tanks. When complete, the project will help improve circulation and service pressure for existing city customers.
