Two Weekend Incidents Lead To Multiple Arrests

The San Marcos Police Department responded to two separate incidents that led to several felony arrests over the weekend.

“Huge thanks to our officers for their hard work and diligent efforts to solve these crimes and keep our community safe,” said Chief Stan Standridge.

Sunday Arrests:

On Sunday, Dec. 13, at approximately 2:01 a.m., officers were dispatched to The Village on Telluride, 201 Telluride Street, for a physical disturbance involving a firearm.  The complainant advised that the subjects were leaving the complex in a white Chrysler 200.

Officers located the vehicle, and when they attempted to conduct an investigative stop, the vehicle started to evade.  Officers conducted a pursuit-immobilization technique (PIT) on the vehicle and stopped the car.

The male driver, identified as Dominic Aaron Flores (DOB 4/16/01) of Maxwell, TX., fled the vehicle on foot.

Three females were detained inside the vehicle; they were identified as Asianaye Nicole Polk (DOB 4/16/02) of San Marcos, TX., Imani Brielle Johnson (DOB 2/22/03) of Lockhart, TX., and Arianna Shaivonique Daniels (DOB 3/6/02) of San Antonio, TX.  A handgun was found inside the vehicle.

Flores was then located and arrested by officers.

He was found to have warrants out of Hays County for Unlawfully Carrying a Weapon, Evading Arrest, and Possession of Marijuana, and was also charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and numerous counts of Evading Arrest.  Flores remains in the Hays County Jail with a total bond of $217,000.

At the conclusion of the investigation, it was determined that Imani Johnson assaulted another female and fired several rounds at the female and her friends.

At one point, Flores grabbed the handgun and pointed it at several people.  No one was injured by the gunfire.

Johnson was arrested for numerous counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and one count of Assault-Bodily Injury with bail set at $255,000.

Asianaye Polk was charged with Assault-Bodily Injury and Unlawfully Carrying a Weapon with bail set at $6,000, and Arianna Daniels was arrested for Assault-Bodily Injury with bail set at $4,000.  As of this release, only Johnson remains in jail.

Saturday Arrest:

On Saturday, Dec. 12, at approximately 8:10 p.m., officers were dispatched to the I Don’t Know Bar, 650 E. Hopkins Street, for an Aggravated Assault.

Bar staff called and reported that a Hispanic male, later identified as Edward Eddie Rodriguez, Jr. (DOB 7/18/84) of Bertram, TX., pulled a knife on the bouncer.

Rodriguez was highly intoxicated and detained upon officers’ arrival.  He was found to be in possession of a fixed blade knife, as well as drugs.

He was arrested for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Criminal Trespass. Rodriguez was booked into the Hays County Jail and posted bond of $17,000 on December 14.
