TX AG’s Office Team Up With Local, Federal Law Enforcement To Arrest 13 People For Organized Crime And Prostitution In Georgetown

AUSTIN – Attorney General Ken Paxton announced yesterday that his office collaborated with local and federal law enforcement on a seven-month investigation that culminated in the arrests of 13 people allegedly involved in prostitution and human trafficking in Texas.

The investigation began after the Georgetown Police Department and Attorney General Paxton’s office received a complaint about illegal activity at a massage parlor in Georgetown. A broadened investigation turned up prostitution and organized criminal activity at a number of massage parlors and spas throughout the state.

Attorney General Paxton’s office assisted the Georgetown and Round Rock police departments in arresting Guiqui Li, Lizhen Song, Yuexia Sun, and Zhihua Cui on prostitution charges. In addition, Xiaolin Yang, Yingbo Xu, and Jianhong Li were charged with aggravated promotion of prostitution.

The Bell County Organized Crime Unit coordinated the execution of seven search warrants at massage parlors in Temple, Killeen and Harker Heights, resulting in six arrests: Yajuan Song and Yan Huang were charged with prostitution; Yuhan Zhang was charged with aggravated promotion of prostitution. Xiao Xin Zhang, Qian Xinghua and Axia Sun face massage therapy owner violations.

The multi-agency law enforcement operation was led by the Georgetown and Round Rock police departments and included participation by the Cedar Park Police Department, Houston Police’s Vice Unit and Human Trafficking Task Force, Killeen Police Department, Harker Heights Police Department, Temple Police Department, Bryan Police Department, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the U.S. State Department.
