TxDOT Public Hearing I-35 from Rundberg Lane to US 290E

Formal Presentation: 6:30 p.m.
Purpose: TxDOT invites citizens to a public hearing on the I-35 project from Rundberg Lane to US 290E. Attendees will be able to review project information and visit one-on-one with project team members prior to the formal hearing presentation and public comment period.

If you are unable to attend the meeting in person but would like to learn more about the project or submit a question or comment, please visit our online virtual public hearing between May 3 and May 17, 2016.

Those who have special communication or accommodation needs are encouraged to call James Lowe at 512-342-3333 at least three business days prior to the public hearing. Every reasonable effort will be made to accommodate these needs.

   
Description: The purpose of the project is to improve safety and mobility. The proposed improvements associated with this project include:

Providing direct connectors (flyovers) between:

I-35 southbound to US 183 southbound

US 183 northbound to I-35 northbound

I-35 southbound to US 183 northbound

Adding dedicated lanes to the I-35 frontage road in both directions to bypass the St Johns Avenue signalized intersection

Replacing the existing St Johns Avenue bridge over I-35 to provide the required vertical clearance

Providing frontage road U-turns for the northbound and southbound directions at St Johns Avenue

Modifying the I-35 northbound to US 183 northbound flyover

Providing bicycle and pedestrian facilities along the frontage roads
