TxDOT To Begin Night Work On Hopkins, Yarrington

TxDOT’s work on Hopkins will consist of milling and overlay operations are scheduled to being at 8 p.m. on Monday night at the intersection of LBJ and Hopkins Street. The street maintenance project will continue on Hopkins to the intersection with Charles Austin and involve nightly lane closures.
 
Crews will work 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. for approximately two weeks, and intermittently thereafter until the anticipated completion of the project by June 30. One lane of traffic in each direction will be open at all times.
 
Hunter Industries, Ltd. of San Marcos is the contractor for the Texas Department of Transportation on the project. For more information on the project, please call the City of San Marcos Engineering Department at 512.393.8130.
 
TxDOT is also planning lane closures on IH-35 at Yarrington June 6-7 from 8 p.m.-5 a.m.
 
Crews will alternate between closing north- and southbound lanes as contractors pour concrete for the bridge deck across the interstate. Motorists are urged to use caution in construction zones, obey traffic signs, and expect delays.
