Union Pacific Railroad Announces Temporary Crossing Closure In Buda

BUDA, TX — The Union Pacific Railroad Crossing at Main Street and Garrison Road will be temporarily closed on Thursday, June 11 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

As part of routine maintenance, Union Pacific will inspect and replace railroad ties and rails during this time.

The work plays a major role in derailment prevention and helps ensure the safety of train crews and the community.

Union Pacific encourages drivers to pay attention to the roadway and detour signs. Below is a detour map.

Traffic will be rerouted to Sequoyah Street. Railroad Street and Cedar Street will remain open to local traffic only.
