University Park was ranked the richest town in Texas in a 24/7 Wall St. analysis examining small, affluent communities where most households earn at least three times the state’s median annual household income.
With a population of 24,954, University Park recorded a median home value of $1,230,200, based on household financial data that was collected before the coronavirus pandemic.
University Park’s poverty rate was pegged at 4.3 percent, and its median annual household income came in at $214,477.
A high level of education is one characteristic that residents of the richest towns have in common, according to the analysis.
The percentage of adults with four-year degrees in the 50 towns is among the highest of any jurisdiction in their states, the study concluded. The analysis considered only towns with populations of 1,000 to 25,000 residents.

Another typical "dumb truck" story about the unknown location of a town called
"University Park" which MUST be a fascinating place due to a poverty rate of 4.3%.
Spoiler: Money only makes boring people more boring. Boring people are
generally drawn to other boring people by boringingly shared commonalities and
beliefs boringly expressed as look at me I'm free of everything but boredom, and
I'm excited that University Park gives me the power to express myself as only it can.
That's why I'm glad that I live under a bridge and that's why I'm glad that University
Park has a place separate and apart in order to reside in a way that only they can.
